Aureader for Android (beta)

We're not on the Play Store yet — the beta APK installs directly. Takes about a minute.

The download link will appear here once the first beta APK is uploaded. Meanwhile, email us to be put on the waitlist.

How to install

  1. 1. Tap Download APK above.Your browser may ask you to confirm the download — that's normal for any file that isn't from the Play Store.
  2. 2. Allow your browser to install apps. When you open the downloaded file, Android may say “For your security, your phone isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source.” Tap Settings and turn on Allow from this source for your browser. (You can turn it back off after installing.)
  3. 3. Tap Install.Android shows a brief warning because we're not on the Play Store yet. Tap Install anyway— it's safe; we sign every build with the same key so updates work as expected.
  4. 4. Open Aureader and sign in. Use the invite code from your welcome email. Your library, voices, and progress sync with the web app automatically.
